About the Company
Little Scholars is a daycare and kindergarten chain in Brooklyn, New York, with 6 locations. The LS has an ambitious growth plan. High-performing company’s sales department continuously delivers new customers to LS, allowing them to open new locations.
Position Goals
- Form a continuous flow of candidates in order to allow future daycares openings
- Replace low-performing current employees with the best candidates
- Ensure the best candidate experience in order to develop the company’s employer brand
You will work on
- Sourcing candidates through all possible channels
- Continuously developing new and existing methods to proactively candidates search within the industry
- Ensuring and following the company hiring procedures and policies
- Pointing contact and relationship building with candidates
- Pre-screening, interviewing and qualification assessment of the candidates
- Assisting management with interview scheduling
- Leading candidates through the background check process
- Providing the best candidate’s experience, thereby being the reliable representative of the employer brand in the market
- Collaborating with hiring managers to plan for staffing needs
- Participates in strategy sessions within the organization to gain a full understanding of staffing needs for each department
- Accurate maintenance of the applicant tracking system
- Monitoring the company’s online reputation (Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Indeed, Google)
- Compliance with legal limitations and requirements in the candidates’ processing
- Maintaining a strong network of industry contacts for potential sourcing and hiring
- Analyzing staffing trends and results for continuous improvement of hiring strategies
We expect from you
- At least two years of the full life-cycle recruiting experience with strong interviewing skills
- At least one year of hands-on proven experience with the US labour market
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills in English
- Ability to work during New York business hours:
- For Ukraine: 4 pm – 2 am
- For Central Europe: 3 pm – 1 am
- For Western Europe: 2 pm – 12 am
- High sense of urgency and organizational skills
- Ability to work with all types and levels of candidates, from security guards to daycare directors
- Ready to handle change, be flexible, and able to work with priorities changing based on company needs
- Strong relationship-building skills
- High level of empathy
- A detail-oriented and data-driven approach to the work
- University degree within the business or human resources-related disciplines
Will be a big plus
- Experience managing relationships with colleges and universities, career fairs, online job fairs, and/or other sources of talent in the US
- Experience in recruiting in the New York State of the US
- Experience in recruiting in the niche of primary and/or secondary education in the US
- Experience of living in the USA
