Okay, Google, when am I gonna die?

Google has created an algorithm that can determine the approximate date of death, based on the medical records of patients, Bloomberg reported.

Amongst the people taking part in the testing of the technology, there was a woman who was diagnosed with advanced stage breast cancer. Based on her medical test results, doctors estimated the probability of an imminent death - 9.3%, the Google algorithm - in 19.9%. The woman died a few days later.

Google's algorithm analyzed the previous diagnoses, lab results and ethnicity - their newly written report has 175,639 items.

The company intends to license a new system in clinics or sell it through its cloud services.

The algorithm can be used not only to predict death. It also allows you to determine the length of the patient's stay in the hospital, the likelihood of re-hospitalization, etc.
